With, a community engagement platform, has raised US$10 million in a seed financing round that will enable it to further develop AI capabilities and expand into North America.
The company works with more than 100 cities and counties across the US, Canada, and Israel including Tel Aviv-Yafo and Scottsdale in Arizona.
Speaking to Cities Today, Adi Perry, Co-Founder and CEO (pictured), said that the seed financing was needed to further break into the US market.
“We grew as a bootstrapped company, working closely with cities and counties to develop a product that truly meets their needs,” he said. “We’re focused on developing AI capabilities to make community engagement more personalised and efficient for local governments in a smart and safe way.”
He said the platform provides local governments with tailored community solutions, recommending optimal prices and times for activities to achieve the highest engagement rates.
The platform provides a unified calendar and tools to maximise community engagement budgets. By bringing city and county payments, registrations, and communications to one platform, municipal staff and partners across departments are able to create events, publish them, and open a ticketing system.
Rather than residents scanning social media pages, they can sign up for one event to receive direct, personalised notifications for future programmes.
Perry added that the focus of the company will be on the US market for the next two years and then cities globally.
“We believe the future of community engagement is rooted in data-driven, personalised experiences,” he said. “We recognise that the strength of a city and county depends on the well-being and resiliency of all its communities, and we’re confident that our platform can support them in achieving that.”
Participants in the funding round include Boaz Amiti, Tal Ventures, Iron Nation, Unicorn Technologies, Ariel Maislos, and Yuval Bar Gil, alongside gov-tech industry entrepreneurs Zac Bookman, Co-Founder and CEO at OpenGov and Eyal Feder, Co-Founder and CEO at Zencity.
